Japan World Heroes Announces Ultraman’s Bin Furuya!

FURUYA (古谷敏)
Satoshi “Bin” Furuya attended Toho’s acting school and graduated as part of the studio’s New face program. He first began appearing Toho films in 1962, which led to supporting roles in classic giant monster movies such as Gorath (1962), Ghidrah, The Three-Headed Monster (1964), Monster Zero (1965) and War of the Gargantuas (1966).In 1965, he was enlisted by Tsuburaya Productions to appear in the groundbreaking TV series, Ultra Q (1966), which was also his television debut. His work as a suit actor in that series led to his being cast as Ultraman (1966), the red and silver giant hero that would spawn a huge franchise that continues to this day. Furuya was then given the more traditional role of UFD member Amagi in the follow up sci-fi series, UltraSeven (1967).
