While at the Jessica Jones premiere, Marvel Chief Creative Officer Joe Quesada gave an update on the development of the Iron Fist series, as well as commenting on the idea of a spin-off from the Daredevil series.

“Iron Fist is being worked on, that’s all I can say,” Quesada told IGN. Earlier this year, there was unconfirmed rumors that Iron Fist might be in jeopardy, but Quesada calls them out.

“Where did you read these rumors? Oh, they were on the internet? So they must be true!”

No actors have been cast for the announced Netflix Iron Fist series, however martial arts actor Scott Adkins was reportedly hired for an undisclosed role in the 2016 Doctor Strange film. In comic books, Doctor Strange and Iron Fist have several connections with one another.

The former Marvel Editor-In-Chief was then asked about Jon Bernthal’s upcoming debut as the Punisher in the next season of Daredevil, and if the three-time movie star could get his own series on Netflix.

“I think we’d love to see something happen, but it’s way too soon to tell, and we don’t necessarily like to discuss which metrics we use to decide these things,” Quesada said. “What I can tell you, is that anyone who is a hardcore Punisher fan is going to be blown away and incredibly satisfied by Bernthal’s take on Frank Castle. It’s one of those cases where it’s the character from the pages come to life.”
