We had been reporting that Kurt Russel had been in talks to join the cast of the movie, and now it is officially confirmed. Now does that mean that Kurt Russel will be playing Starlord’s Father? Production Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 has officially begun in Atlanta, Ga, and with that announcement comes the official cast listing.
Along with familiar faces returning from the first film, several new cast members have been added. The highest profile new addition is Kurt Russell, who had been rumored previously but is now confirmed. The press release does not name Russell’s character.
