‘Man Of Steel 2’ Already In Development With Zack Snyder!

Is “Man of Steel” more powerful than a locomotive? All eyes will be on the box-office this weekend to answer that question as the Superman reboot storms into theaters. But regardless of the answer, we now know this: the sequel is coming our way, faster than a speeding bullet.
Deadline reports that Warner Bros. is already fast-tracking a “Man of Steel” sequel before the first film has even arrived in theaters. Two of the film’s most important ingredients are already said to be in place: Zack Snyder returning as director and David S. Goyer back as screenwriter.
Christopher Nolan, mastermind of the “Dark Knight” films and a producer on “Man of Steel,” is less certain to return for the sequel. Deadline says that next time, his “producer role won’t be as ‘full blown,'” whatever that means.
As for what a “Man of Steel” sequel will focus on … honestly, who’s to say? It feels rather early to be talking about a sequel for a film that hasn’t been released quite yet. Then again, it’s no secret that Warner Bros. and DC Entertainment have some catching up to do if they want to expand their on-screen comic book universe the way Marvel Studios has over numerous feature films, including “The Avengers” franchise. It’s no “Justice League,” but getting another Superman movie on the schedule is certainly a step in the right direction.
Speaking of “Justice League,” rumors of Goyer’s involvement as a writer are only heating up. Deadline notes that the writer is being lined up for the superhero team-up, and Goyer himself reportedly acknowledged the rumors on the “Man of Steel” red carpet last night, according to this report from the folks at /Film.
