Oscar Isaac has reportedly been cast as the lead for Marvel’s upcoming Disney+ series Moon Knight. The Marvel Cinematic Universe is once again attempting to make the transition to television through a slew of shows on Disney+, all of which will have ties to the movies. The first batch of shows center on pre-established MCU characters like Bucky Barnes (Sebastian Stan) and Wanda Maximoff (Elizabeth Olsen), but Marvel boss Kevin Feige announced at D23 last year that there will also be three projects that’ll introduce new characters to the franchise.
Moon Knight, just like She-Hulk and Ms. Marvel, will center on one of those new characters. Ever since the shows were announced, fans have been eagerly speculating about who will be cast in the lead roles, particularly since they’re all expected to appear in the films. Tatiana Maslany was first announced to be She-Hulk’s lead (though Maslany recently sidestepped those rumors), while newcomer Iman Vellani will play Ms. Marvel. Following those two, all that was left was Moon Knight’s leading man.
