The ABC series is yet to be officially renewed, but Jeph Loeb told Entertainment Weekly that he is hoping for “100 more” episodes.
“This is absolutely an ongoing story,” Loeb said. “For this season, it’s 22 [stories], and let’s hope that we get to tell 100 more.”
The events of big-screen blockbuster Captain America: The Winter Soldier will continue to impact the TV series, co-exec Jeff Bell confirmed.
“Here’s the thing: Hydra is now loose,” Bell teased. “SHIELD has fallen apart [and] we’re trying to figure who we can and cannot trust.
“Hydra’s out there, nobody trusts us… we can’t wait to tell those stories.”
