Most fans of the Mortal Kombat Video Game series, would say that a live action series based on the game is long over due. But, at the same time, fans do not want to see a cheesy b-level series based on their beloved game. In 2016, Mortal Kombat: Generations is coming. The live-action Mortal Kombat: Generations web series is due to come out next year, with the trailer stated to be coming early next year as well.

Director, martial artist and stunt coordinator Garret Warren confirmed the news on Twitter about a week ago.

Mortal Kombat: Generations is said to star Casper Van Dien as Johnny Cage, Cary-Hiroyuki Tagawa as Shang Tsung Cage, Jade Quon/Jamal Duff as Ferra/Torr, Haley Lu Richardson as Cassie Cage, Ray Park as Erron Black, Booboo Stewart as Takeda, Lewis Tan as Kung Jin and Ron Yuan as Hanzo Hasashi.

Garret Warren was also asked about the new Mortal Kombat movie, which is said to be a reboot with James Wan involved, in which Warren said it’s in “good hands” and “will be made.”
