With mounting political pressure to install a system of accountability for the Avengers, an internal debate between team members about whether government oversight is needed erupts. Captain America: Civil War divides Marvel’s superheroes between two factions; one led by Captain American and one led by Iron Man. Captain America’s team–comprised of the Winter Soldier (Sebastian Stan), Falcon (Anthony Mackie), Hawkeye (Jeremy Renner), Ant-Man (Paul Rudd), and Scarlet Witch (Elizabeth Olsen)–believe the Avengers should remain free to defend humanity without government interference.
