The fans of the TV series ‘Breaking Bad’ made their love for the character ‘Walter White‘ known last week when they submitted an obituary for the character which ran in the Albuquerque Journal. Check out the story on this below and share your thoughts after the JUMP!
Fictional character Walter White was memorialized in a real way in the Albuquerque Journal today: he got a small, barely noticeable obituary.
The obituary, which comes to us via HyperVocal, somewhat awkwardly explains that White “died Sunday after a long battle with cancer, and a gunshot wound.”
It also somewhat buries the lede, mentioning that he was a co-founder of Gray Matter and a high school chemistry teacher before noting that he “founded a meth manufacturing empire.”

An obituary for Walter White appeared in the Albaquerque Journal.
Writing for the Journal, Adrian Gomez explains that the obituary was placed in the paper by a group of fans.
“I was actually in the pilot, and putting the obit in the paper was fitting, because the series was based in Albuquerque and it provides some of us some closure,” fan David Layman told Gomez.
The obit explains that a “private memorial” was held by White’s family. After all he put them through we somehow don’t think they’d do him that honor.
