In a recent interview for his upcoming film, ‘Birds of Prey’, actor Ewan McGregor stated that not only is the Obi-Wan series a go at Disney+, but the show is slated to begin shooting in January 2021. It just slipped to next year, that’s all,” he tells ComicBook.com. “They felt like they wanted more time to write the episodes.”
“Instead of shooting this August, they just want to start shooting in January, that’s all,” the Birds of Prey star continued. “It’s nothing more dramatic than that. It often happens in projects, they just wanted to push it to next year. They’re still shooting towards having the [series] released when it was going to originally release.”
As for reports about the first season being shortened from six episodes to four, he said: “I haven’t heard that.”
