The G.I.Joe 6 inch figures G.I.Joe Classified, are starting to trickle into retail. So far they look pretty cool. I always find that in hand is a much better way to assess figures as opposed to looking at an image. I do have some other 6 inch lines I collect such as Star Wars, Marvel, and DC. This scale just looks great. One thing that has always made the 3-3/4 inch line thrive are vehicles. So I’m wondering if there are thought of vehicles and can they manufacture vehicles that won’t take…

G.I.Joe Vehicles of 1982 Discussion by Mitchell Smith!

July 12, 2020July 12, 2020 Serpentorslair Staffaction figures, G.I.Joe, Hasbro, toy collecting0 comment

Today I’m going to get into the G.I.Joe 1982 vehicles as a whole. Remember this was a pilot season for the 3-3/4 inch line and they were taking somewhat of a risk in producing vehicles for the figures. As a whole they hit a home run with every vehicle released that year. First the Mobat which I did an exclusive on earlier is one of the best tanks ever made. For the times they knocked this battery operated tank with real rubber tracks out of the park. Next the Vamp, another vehicle…

THE POP EXPOSE -Robin Williams or Will Smith Who is The Best Genie?

July 12, 2020July 12, 2020 Serpentorslair StaffMovies, The POP-EXPOSE0 comment

Who did it better Robin Williams or Will Smith? Disney’s Aladdin came out back in 1992 and my older brother dated a girl with a 3 year, so I spent lots of time watching this movie on VHS with that little 3 year old. I didn’t mind though as this is one of my favorite movies. One of the biggest attractions in this movie was the singing, the story, and the Genie played by the late great Robin Williams. Williams is the Genie. He brought this character to life and there will never…

G.I.Joe ‘Road Toad’ Discussion By Mitchell Smith!

July 10, 2020July 10, 2020 Serpentorslair Staffaction figures, G.I.Joe, Hasbro, toy collecting0 comment

Welcome to the Outpost, Today I’m sticking with 1987 but a bit of an odd vehicle. The G.I.Joe Road Toad. This was an odd vehicle but it was one I had as a kid so I still love it. It’s a trailer, it’s a tow truck, and it’s a cannon. So it looks like this vehicle is designed to clean up damaged vehicles as it is called the Road Toad B.R.V. (battlefield recovery vehicle.) I love the tow option on this vehicle and the little side seat for the controls seems…

G.I.Joe ‘Sneak Peek’ and ‘Psyche-Out’ Discussion By Mitchell Smith!

July 9, 2020July 9, 2020 Serpentorslair Staffaction figures, G.I.Joe, Hasbro, toy collecting0 comment

Welcome to the Outpost, Today I’m checking out 2 more G.I.Joe figures from 1987. Some of the earlier years had great friendships like Dusty and Footloose, Leatherneck and Wet Suit, and Scarlett and Duke. The friendships were something I loved about the cartoon and the characters. Two characters that I don’t ever remember them being in the cartoon are Sneak Peek and Psyche-Out. I feel like these two would have been that important two man combo this year. They both were using new technology, and they both had some very unique equipment that was especially…

The G.I.Joe 1985 lineup paved the way for many unique characters for the years to come. 1987, I thought was one of the best years for joe figures and probably the first year I got a ton of the figures for Christmas. There were so many awesome characters like Fast Draw, Crystal Ball, and Techno Viper. This year also released a great lineup of vehicles like the Mamba, the Cobra Sea Ray, and the unique R/C car the Crossfire. There are so many and I’m looking to do a write up on…
