Revealing Season 1 of DOCTOR WHO: Episode Titles, Creative Minds, and the Thrilling Second Trailer

The launch of the first season of Doctor Who under Russell T Davies‘ stewardship has been marked by the release of a thrilling second trailer, accompanied by the revelation of the season’s episode titles and the creative minds behind them, as reported by SFFGazette.com. This latest preview not only introduces fresh footage but also highlights the enhanced production quality funded by Disney+.
Russell T Davies has once again taken the helm in writing for the series, with the notable participation of Steven Moffat in the third episode, “Boom.” The series will also see “Loki” director Kate Herron collaborating with Briony Redman on the episode titled “Rogue.”
The season kicks off with “Space Babies,” featuring Golda Rosheuvel (known for “Queen Charlotte: A Bridgerton Story”) as Jocelyn, who encounters the Doctor and Ruby on their initial journey in the TARDIS. Davies expressed his delight at having Rosheuvel join the cast, acknowledging her recent acclaim from “Bridgerton.”
Completing the opening duo of episodes is “The Devil’s Chord,” starring Jinkx Monsoon as an unprecedentedly formidable adversary for the Doctor, set against a 1960s backdrop with The Beatles.
This iteration of “Doctor Who” sees Ncuti Gatwa and Millie Gibson as the Doctor and Ruby Sunday, respectively, traversing through myriad eras and realms, from historical England to dystopian futures, combating evil while meeting both allies and foes.
An impressive roster of guest stars had been previously announced, including Michelle Greenidge, Angela Wynter, and others. The latest additions to the cast include Callie Cooke, Dame Siân Phillips, and more talents.
The global premiere of “Doctor Who” is set for May 10 at 7pm ET on Disney+ and on the BBC iPlayer in the UK at 12am BST on May 11, with a subsequent broadcast on BBC One later that day.
