Rumor: Martin Campbell in talks to direct G.I.JOE 3

Strictly a rumor for now, Martin Campbell director of Casino Royale and Green Lantern is in talks to direct G.I.JOE 3.
This could mean a new direction for the third G.I.JOE movie since espionage is Campbell’s strong point.
G.I.JOE has always had a strong section of spy stories including the entire Spy Troops run. I imagine what we will see all depends on if Paramount sticks to the original third script or deviates wildly.
If it does go the spy route this would be a great opportunity to bring back Rachel Nichols, the Baroness, and focus on Lady Jaye’s talents as well.
Maybe toss in Agent Faces and Chuckles. On the Cobra side you also have Zarana and Zandar which could lead to at least one scene with Dreadnoks.
I hope that if they do include the Dreadnoks they use them as they originally were intended. They like to destroy stuff.
Have them sent to cut up some humvees and jets at an air base.
One thing is certain, the boards will be buzzing about this news again for a little while at least!
