Sony Introduces PS4 “Gaikai Streaming” For PS3 Titles…
No backwards capability? No problem. Sony introduced yesterday at the Tokyo Game Show, the Playstation 4 Gaikai Streaming. Which will make 2014 PS3 titles available to play on not just the PS4, but the PS Vita and PS Vita TV as well. My thoughts? This is awesome news for PS3 owners like myself who are still playing catch up with their ever going list of games yet to be played that have already been released. At a roundtable interview at the Tokyo Game Show yesterday, Sony president of worldwide studios Shuhei Yoshida made an announcement that is likely to make PlayStation Plus members very happy. Starting sometime next year, the Gaikai streaming service will bring PlayStation 3 titles to PS4 owners.
According to IGN, the plan is make these titles available to play not only through the new home console, but the Vita and the Vita TV as well. Yoshida stated that a good selection will be available when the service comes online and that it will grow over time.
