In a recent interview actor Stephen Amell has teased that the upcoming 5th season of Arrow is going to kick off with some serious violence possibly in the same vein as the super popular ‘Daredevil‘ series. Also, it seems that an important character that has not been seen on the show in the past two seasons, will be returning. This leaves many speculating that the super popular character, ‘Deathstroke‘ may be making a comeback. Check out more on this below, and sound off with your opinions AFTER THE JUMP!
While speaking during a Facebook live chat, Amell revealed that he’s had discussions with the debut episode’s director James Bamford, (who also serves as Arrow’s fight coordinator), and promises some historic action. According to Amell, the premiere for season 5 “has the opportunity for us to have the most vicious, violent one-shot in the history of network television.” Those are big words, especially coming after spectacular one-take fight sequences in Marvel’s Daredevil (which is a Netflix show, as opposed to network television) and Agents Of S.H.I.E.L.D. “If [the premiere] is any indication, Arrow is going to be f—ing mean this year,” said Amell, “and that’s really exciting.” Amell also teased that season 5 would feature the return of a character from the past, “someone that we haven’t seen in two full seasons.” Any guesses as to who that could be?
