Supergirl.tv has exclusively learned that Ana Franchesca Rousseau played the part of Lara Van-El on the Supergirl Pilot. Reading further could provide possible SPOILERS.

Our source has confirmed that there are indeed a couple of scenes on Krypton and that the house of El isn’t just represented by Alura and Zor-El (played respectively by Laura Benanti and Robert Gant). Lara Van-El will also be seen on the show in the first few minutes of the pilot. For those that don’t know, Lara Van-El is Superman’s biological mother.

Also, back in February 24, 2015, we reported that a casting call went out for a Superman look-a-like. What also was in that casting call was a need for twin baby boys:

We are looking for Caucasian, 6-9 month old Identical Twins Boys and Identical Twin Girls for a new CBS TV Pilot. They must have a current entertainment work permit. This will work during the March. Send photos, age, contact info , a copy of permit to ChrisBsubmissions@centralcasting.com – in the subject line write TWIN BOYS OR TWIN GIRLS depending on who’s be submitted.

With confirmation that Lara Van-El is in the show, it would make sense that these two boys are actually needed to play Superman as an infant. Twins because Hollywood has strict child work laws that allow a baby to be on set for only a short while and twins can double the shoot time.

So there you have it, if you were ever in doubt that Superman would have some presence on the show, this confirms it.
