G.I. JOE INSIDE THE FILE CARDS FEATURING COBRA’S ‘HISS DRIVER’!

G.I. Joe HISS Drivers are listed as “HISS Driver” for their PMS and “Mechanical and Electrical Systems” for their SMS. Also states they are “selected from the best and most evil of Cobra Command’s thousands of yearly recruits”. Not sure if that means they spend some time as a Cobra Trooper first then get selected into the Hisstank branch once they have proven themselves? If that is the case I would imagine it would be difficult for Cobra to fill their Hisstanks up quick enough due to attrition and needing…

“Reviving the 1980s Classic: Jayce and the Wheeled Warriors Toy Line and Cartoon”!

In the mid-1980s, Mattel introduced a groundbreaking toy line known as Wheeled Warriors, blending creativity, action figures, and vehicles in a unique and innovative way. Paired with a thrilling 65-episode animated series called “Jayce and the Wheeled Warriors,” the franchise had immense potential. However, despite its innovative design and durable parts, the toy line struggled to connect with its animated counterpart, which ultimately contributed to its short-lived existence. The Wheeled Warriors toy line, released in 1985, was a collection of 13 items, each with distinctive features that set them apart…

G.I. JOE UNDERAPPRECIATED FEATURING THE STREET FIGHTER ‘SONIC BOOM’!

Welcome to the Outpost. Today I’m taking a look at a vehicle that I feel is under appreciated the G.I. Joe Street Fighter Sonic Boom Tank. I’ve had my eye on the 1994 Street Fighter Sonic Boom for some time. This was a repaint of the 1991 Cobra Paralyzer, but I like the green better than yellow. I also thought about hunting down a Paralyzer or at least the gun which is green to make the Sonic Boom all green. The one I picked up recently is missing the spring…

G.I. JOE INSIDE THE FILE CARDS FEATURING “SHORT-FUZE’!

Today we look at G.I. Joe Short-Fuze. He is listed as “Artillery” for PMS and “Infantry Engineer” for SMS. What is interesting is there is not the usual longer space between “Infantry” and “Engineer” like what you see on other other OG13 filecards in regards to SMS. It most likely was a printing error but provided it is not then an “Infantry Engineer” would be in all cases a Combat Engineer (12B MOS). It lists Engineer School further in his filecard. Provided Short-Fuze started his Army career as a Combat…
