Clint Eastwood was born in 1930 in San Francisco. He was nicknamed Samson when he was born because he weighed 11 lbs 6 ounces. Eastwood had a number of jobs in his youth such as a lifeguard, caddy, and a forest firefighter. Eastwood applied to Seattle University but ended up drafted by the Army during the Korean War.
