Hello everybody yesterday was a sad day for America. We loose MLB great Pete Rose. Rose who has been in controversy over the past several years over being held out of the baseball hall of fame because of sports betting. Rose who was born in 1941 in Cincinnati was more than a flawed person. When you think of the Big Red Machine you think of Pete Rose and the Pete Rose slide coined by him for the head first slide. Born April 14, 1941 in Cincinnati, OH. He played Baseball and Football at Western Hills High School. He was a running back for the JV team, but did not make Varsity so he focused on Baseball. He struggled in School with his grades, but eventually would play baseball for Class AA team sponsored by Frisch’s Big Boy of Lebanon, OH in the Dayton Amateur League.
