G.I.Joe ‘SLAUGHTERS MARAUDERS’ Discussion by Mitchell Smith!

Welcome to the Outpost. Today I’m taking a look at another G.I.Joe 1989 sub group that released a bunch of repainted figures that many people may not have found an original character but now they could get it in Slaughters Marauders colors. The color schemes itself is a bit of an acquired taste but the characters are pretty cool. First up is SGT. Slaughter and he is a nice figure but not quite the original. Barbecue was a character I loved but never had the original. and Barbecue are the…

G.I.Joe ‘TRIPLE T’ Discussion By Mitchell Smith!

Welcome to the Outpost. Today I’m taking a look at G.I.Joe Sgt. Slaughter and the Triple T. This is one I did not have as a kid but I loved the figure and the vehicle. Growing up in the eighties I had plenty of WWF characters to follow. It was crazy from George The Animal Steele eating the turn buckles to Hulk Hogan body slamming Andre the Giant. When The Sarge came on board with GI Joe it was a match made in heaven. He didn’t just fit in, he…

THE POP EXPOSE ‘Sgt. Slaughter’ by Mitchell Smith!

Sgt Slaughter was born Robert Remus in 1948. Slaughter was a huge part of the wrestling world including the Hey days of the WWF and wildly popular with the GI Joe franchise, and also had a spot in the Super Mario Brothers Show. Slaughter was born in Detroit, Michigan, but he was raised in Minneapolis, Minnesota. He joined the Marine Corp and become a drill instructor at Paris Island, SC.  This training came in very handy in the wrestling world as well as his roll in GI Joe. Slaughter had quite a stint in the…

G.I. Joe APC vs. The Warthog Story by Mitchell Smith!

Two of my favorite G.I.Joe vehicles are the 1983 APC and the 1988 Warthog, both were Joe transports that could go on land and sea. The toys both really floated and Although the APC could carry 28 figures as apposed to the Warthogs 9, the Warthog had a few more features and a lot more fire power. Not to say I don’t love the APC, but the Warthog had grenade launchers on the side and 2 large missiles on top. The APC was awesome for it’s time and honestly still…

Could The G.I. Joe “Ice Age” Be Closer Than We Think?

Millions of years ago, dinosaurs were the dominant species roaming planet Earth. They were king of the land. Life was good for Mr. T-rex, until one day fate would have a giant meteorite and global ice age that would soon drastically change the fate of the dinosaurs and the landscape of our planet. The planet would never be the same. This transition period in our history is quite the life lesson. What is here today, could very well be gone tomorrow. Like the dinosaurs, G.I. Joe fans may or may…
