G.I.Joe ‘SLAUGHTERS MARAUDERS’ Discussion by Mitchell Smith!

Welcome to the Outpost. Today I’m taking a look at another G.I.Joe 1989 sub group that released a bunch of repainted figures that many people may not have found an original character but now they could get it in Slaughters Marauders colors. The color schemes itself is a bit of an acquired taste but the characters are pretty cool. First up is SGT. Slaughter and he is a nice figure but not quite the original. Barbecue was a character I loved but never had the original.

and Barbecue are the 2 Marauders I had as a kid. The original 1984 Spirit is one I wanted as a kid and I never had the 1989 version but I would have taken him at the time. I did have the original Footloose and I’m not sure I would have picked this version up in the store.

Similarly Low-Light is one I had the original and the 1989 is probably the worst version but it’s still Low-Light and looks pretty cool. Mutt and Junkyard was a staple character and again this was a funky colored version but you could get a Junkyard if you may have lost the one you had with the original version. Over all the color scheme was the craziest thing about these figures but they don’t look bad in hand. Who like the original Slaughters Marauders? Did you have any growing up? Sound off below and let us know! Make sure to check back for our next discussion.
