Templars: The Mask of Mordred Brings O-Ring Adventure Back to Collectors Hands!

Collectors who miss the days when an action figure offered more than something to display finally have a new adventure heading their way. Templars: The Mask of Mordred, an original 3.75-inch O-ring action figure line from Action Media LLC, is preparing to launch its crowdfunding campaign on BackerKit on Saturday, July 18, 2026.
Templars is being developed as an entire world rather than simply another assortment of figures. The line combines retro-inspired action figures, original characters, comic-book storytelling and extensive world-building. Its story revolves around ancient relics, mysterious organizations and secret societies, giving collectors a mythology they can continue expanding through their own displays and adventures. Each figure is also planned to include an original comic storyline, helping introduce the characters and move the larger Mask of Mordred saga forward.
The introductory BackerKit offering is expected to focus on Elias Graves and Kane, two of the central characters revealed for the first wave. Additional concepts shown by the creators include Ivy Graves, Shadow Order security agents and cultist-style troop builders, suggesting that the universe could grow quickly when the campaign receives enough support.
The figures are being designed with collectors, customizers and storytellers in mind. The classic O-ring construction is combined with Pop-N-Swap interchangeable parts, removable equipment and modular terrain stands. The figures are also intended to be compatible with vintage-style figures, parts and vehicles, opening the door for head swaps, equipment changes, army building and completely original characters.
The packaging may be one of the line’s most exciting features. Early mock-ups for Elias Graves and Kane feature dramatic character artwork presented in a comic-inspired format. The card backs resemble individual issues of The Mask of Mordred, making every packaged figure feel like another chapter in the story. The proposed collector-friendly design would allow the figure and comic-style card artwork to be removed without destroying the entire package. The creators have emphasized that the images shown so far are prototypes rather than the final retail packaging.
The BackerKit campaign represents the first major step in building the Templars universe. Fans can follow the project now, receive campaign updates and be notified when pledging officially opens.
