I recently visited the Strong Museum in the Finger Lake region of New York. It is a cool midsize city that overlooks one of the Great Lakes, Lake Ontario and the lake actually looks like the ocean when you stand on the shores but from a Birds-eye view you can see clear to Canada. The Strong Museum is a unique place and has several working portions for kids and adults to explore. Some of the play areas include Sesame Street, a pinball arcade, and a mini play version of one of my favorite grocery stores Wegmans.
Not only is this an awesome place for your child to spend a Saturday exploring but this is also home to the National Toy Hall of Fame, World Video Game Hall of Fame, and the International Center for the History of Electronic Games. Walking through the museum that’s packed with games, toys, and statues can be a little overwhelming. If you take your time there are tons of vintage artifacts and a boat load to read about everything you may or may not have had as a kid. It really transports you through time and I snapped a bunch of pics with my phone but you really cannot appreciate the history unless you visit in Person. Hopefully you all enjoy and if you ever happen to be in the area this Museum will not disappoint. Check out a full gallery of images from the museum below!
