Warner Bros Say’s Afleck’s Batman Will Be “Seasoned”…..
Batman fans and casual movie fans alike have been almost torn apart right down the middle on there outlook when Warner Bros. announced last month that actor Ben Afleck would be the new Batman in the upcoming Man Of Steel sequel. Haven’t heard much from Afleck since the new hit. In a interview with Variety, CEO of Warner Bros, Kevin Tsujihara revealed that the new Batman will be …..”tired and weary and seasoned and been doing it for awhile”.
My thoughts? I think it’s a good call considering Christopher Nolan’s masterpiece trilogy already nailed a Batman origins story. Now how old and seasoned I will be very curious to learn. I can’t imagine them going in a old and retired Batman ala Frank Miller’s, The Dark Knight Returns.

It was less than a month ago that Warner Bros. set social media on fire with word that Ben Affleck had signed on to play Bruce Wayne/Batman in Zack Snyder’s still-untitled Superman/Batman follow-up to Man of Steel. Today, Warner Bros. CEO Kevin Tsujihara said, via Variety, that Affleck is the “perfect” choice and revealed that the Dark Knight will have been around for some time when the film begins.
“[He will be] tired and weary and seasoned and been doing it for awhile,” said Tsujihara of Wayne and his cowled alter ego. “…We think it’s going to be huge.”
Henry Cavill will, meanwhile, reprise his role as Superman alongside co-stars Amy Adams, Laurence Fishburne and Diane Lane.
The new film is being scripted by David S. Goyer from a story he co-created with Zack Snyder. Charles Roven and Deborah Snyder are producing, with Benjamin Melniker, Michael E. Uslan and Wesley Coller serving as executive producers. It is scheduled to hit theaters on July 17, 2015.
