THE POP-EXPOSE ‘EMINEM’ By Mitchell Smith!
Marshall Bruce Mathers the III was born October 17th 1972. He is best known as Eminem or by his alter ego Slim Shady. Eminem now a household name had a very troubled upbringing which fueled his lyrics and made him into a rap superstar. Success did not come to him easy though. His dream was to be a rapper. He was told he would never make it in an all black industry. Years of struggling to provide for his wife and child, and despite relentless racism, Mathers persistently pursued a dream that most saw as an uncatchable dream. Marshall worked a couple part time jobs to keep afloat and finally got his big break when he was urged to get outside of the Detroit area and do a competition that would catch the ear of Dr. Dre.
His career would shortly sky rocket from that point and Eminem would become the first white rapper and he turned an entire culture into the modern rap hip hop that we hear today and he has become the most popular rapper in history. I just watched his 2017 live concert from Reading. What a great show. You can see his maturity now. Sure he still uses profanity but his songs mesh together using his rap and combining his music with classic rock and various pop artists. He is a master of lyrics and incorporating songs such as Dream On, Toy Soldier, and teaming up with other artists such as Rihanna keeps his music fresh and relative.
I use his stuff to run, his anger is so motivating and he pushes you to be better at what ever you might be doing in your life or what struggles you might be having. You get your anger out with him and push through to a more positive outlook on life. He overcame a lot in his life and it is nice to see how successful he has become and how true he has stayed to his roots and his fans.
