“Russell Crowe Takes the Helm as Drone Operator in Intense Military Thriller ‘Land of Bad'”

In the gripping trailer for ‘Land of Bad,’ Russell Crowe emerges as the lifeline for a stranded soldier played by Liam Hemsworth. Scheduled to hit theaters on February 16, 2024, this military thriller unfolds as a US Army Delta Force team embarks on a mission to rescue a captured CIA asset in the Philippines. However, when the operation takes an unexpected turn, rookie officer Kinney (Hemsworth) finds himself alone in hostile terrain.

Facing the perils of the jungle and a formidable enemy force, Kinney’s only chance at survival rests in the hands of drone operator Reaper (Crowe). Serving as Kinney’s eyes and ears, Reaper navigates a 48-hour trek, fighting to keep the stranded officer alive. The film, shot on location in Australia, also features Luke Hemsworth, Ricky Whittle, and Milo Ventimiglia.

Crowe, an Oscar-winner known for iconic roles in films like ‘Gladiator’ and ‘A Beautiful Mind,’ brings his commanding presence to ‘Land of Bad.’ Meanwhile, Liam Hemsworth, recognized for his role in the ‘Hunger Games’ series, continues to showcase his talent in intense thrillers like ‘Poker Face’ and the upcoming Netflix fantasy series, where he takes on ‘The Witcher’ mantle.

Directed by William Eubank and co-written by Eubank and David Frigerio, ‘Land of Bad’ promises 110 minutes of riveting action. The film has been rated R for violence and profanity and will be distributed by The Avenue.
