Exploring the 2007 G.I. Joe Sigma 6 Iron Grenadier: A Modern Twist on a Classic Trooper

Welcome to The Outpost. There are several talks of the G.I. Joe Classified Iron Grenadier line with the release of the Iron Grenadier trooper, Metal-Head, and the Iron B.A.T. There were many great original 3-3/4 figures in the lineup including the Iron Grenadier troopers that I had as a kid and always loved the look. Today I’m taking a look at The 2007 G.I. Joe Sigma 6 Iron Grenadier.

The Iron Grenadiers were originally conceived as Destro’s private army, independent of Cobra. In the Sigma 6 storyline, the Iron Grenadiers were reimagined to align with the futuristic aesthetic of the series. Destro outfitted his mercenaries with cutting-edge armor and weapons. This is a really cool figure. Different from the original figure but still has an original vibe to him.

I feel the hoses are a breathing apparatus so this trooper can enter many hostile situations. Over all I really love this Iron Grenadier trooper and hope to get a Classified figure soon. Make sure to check back next week for the next discussion at The Outpost.
