Sam Hatmaker, a devoted fan of the show, designed the set for the LEGO Ideas crowdsourcing community. The forum allows people to submit photos of their best and brightest block creations, and if enough supporters vote for the model, LEGO considers putting it into production.

Designs need at least 10,000 votes to qualify for review, and BOOM, that magic number was achieved earlier today. Because of course it was. Who wouldn’t vote for a LEGO Blanche?

Haymaker writes:

“I have recreated many classic scenes from the show, including a visit from Burt Reynolds, Rose shooting Blanche’s Vase, Dorothy Playing ‘Grab That Dough’ and Rose rescuing her Teddy Bear from a mean little girl.”

Before you ask, yes. It’s entirely acceptable to buy these for your children and then play with them yourself. In fact, it sounds to me like the perfect teachable moment about “sharing” and “Mommy needs toys, too.”

The sassiest senior citizens in the land would be the first to back me up on that.
