Barenaked Ladies 2024 Tour

Story by Mitchell Smith

Hello everybody. Back in 1988 Ed Roberts and Steven Page got together in Scarborough, ON and formed the band Barenaked Ladies. They added Jim Creeggan and his brother Andy, Tyler Stewart and Kevin Hearn who replaced Andy when he left the band in 1995. Page left the band in 2009 to pursue a solo career and everyone else remains. The band first had success in Canada with their 2 hits “If I Had A Million Dollars” and “Brian Wilson”. The hits kept coming for the band with songs like “Be My Yoko Ono” and “The Old Apartment”.

They also had the pleasure of writing and performing the theme song to “The Big Bang Theory”, which had two extra verses if you have never checked it out. Their shows consist of a lot of improvised raps, songs, and banter. I have never been to a live show but from what I can tell they are a lot of fun. The band kicks off their 2024 tour in St Kitts, ON and ends up in Rochester, NY in October. A stones throw for me so I may try and get tickets to this show. Overall this is just a fun band to listen to and it would be cool to catch a live show. Have a great week everybody.
