Andrew Lincoln, who plays Rick Grimes on “The Walking Dead,” can tell whether his acting is good just by looking at the reaction of his co-star Norman Reedus.
Andrew Lincoln has revealed that he can tell whether he’s been doing a good or bad scene just by looking at his “The Walking Dead” co-star Norman Reedus.

“You always know if you’re doing a good scene, because Norman will make eye contact with you,” the 41-year-old British actor, who plays Rick Grimes on the hit AMC zombie drama, said of Reedus Monday, Feb. 2, during a new edition of “TimesTalks” held at TimesCenter in New York, N.Y.

“He gets physically offended by bad acting, and won’t look at you!” Lincoln explained.

The “Love Actually” actor went on to talk about Reedus’ “extraordinary spirit.” “He bleeds for this show – literally, every season he gets hurt. He’s a fascinating man and he’s become a dear friend to us,” Lincoln said of the 46-year-old actor who plays fan-favorite Daryl Dixon on the series.

Reedus seems to have a really good working relationship with all his cast members, but among all his co-stars, he has been much more vocal about how close he’s grown to Lincoln.

In a phone interview with Toronto Sun this past October, Reedus said, “Andy’s kind of my BFF on the set,” adding, “I’m very proud to be Robin to his Batman.”

In 2013, Reedus also told AMC (via Comicbook.com) that he would like to be stuck with Rick in an actual zombie apocalypse just because he has an obvious crush on Lincoln.

For Lincoln’s part, he said at Walker Stalker Con in Atlanta in 2013 that working with Reedus was “obviously” his most favorite part about his overall “The Walking Dead” experience, jokingly adding that it takes him “half an hour to start work in the morning” just because he first needs to scream [like a fan girl] at Reedus before he gets to work, Wetpaint reported.
