G.I.Joe ‘Tomahawk’ Discussion By Mitchell Smith!

Serpentorslair Staff, , , 0 comment

Welcome to the Outpost. Today we are discussing the 1986 G.I.Joe Tomahawk. I love helicopters. The Fang, the Dragonfly, and the Mamba are all favorites of mine, but the Tomahawk is the number 1 greatest G.I. Joe helicopter. I had one of these as a kid and I remember sleeping with it I loved it so much. I think it had its own pillow LOL. What an awesome design this is. From the canopy, to the twin rotor blades, right down to the tip of the back cargo door. I remember…

G.I.Joe ‘Gnawgahyde’ Discussion By Mitchell Smith!

Serpentorslair Staff, , , 2 Comments

Welcome to the Outpost. Today I’m talking about Metal-Head’s bestie in the G.I.Joe Dic Cartoon series, Gnawgahyde. This is one figure I had as a kid and one of my favorite figures from this year. He is a Dreadnok, he has awesome accessories, and he has a wild boar. Every accessory was just awesome that came with Gnawgahyde. The rifle, his knife, machete, bow, quiver that is a backpack, and of course his removable hat. The only other version came in the 2011 Dreadnok battle back. At the time this was too expensive and…

Serpentorslair Staff, , , , , 0 comment

It looks like the overly ‘woke’ Supergirl series is coming to an end. The CW and Melissa Benoist broke the news yesterday that this will be the final season of the show. While in the beginning the show held true to the character as the series progressed the show became more and more about addressing social issues rather than moving the characters forward. Check out the latest on this news below and share your thoughts AFTER THE JUMP. melissabenoistVerifiedTo say it has been an honor portraying this iconic character would be a massive understatement. G.I.Joe ‘Metal Head’ Discussion by Mitchell Smith!

Serpentorslair Staff, , , , 0 comment

Welcome to the Outpost. 1990 is the last year I received G.I.Joes for Christmas. I had some nice figures but I did not get one cool one, Metal-Head. It wasn’t till many years later when I got back into G.I. Joe that I even knew who Metal Head was. When I got my first original Metal Head this was just a great figure. When I got back into watching the cartoon Metal Head was a very popular character and was used extensively. Although he came off as a bit of a loose cannon and…

THE POP EXPOSE – ‘Wishful Drinking’ by Carrie Fisher Story by Mitchell Smith!

Serpentorslair Staff, , , 0 comment

I recently stumbled upon the Audiobook “Wishful Drinking” written and read by Carrie Fisher. This was a very interesting book. The book talks about Carrie growing up with 2 famous parents. Her mother Debbie Reynolds who was an actress and most famous for her roll in “Singing in the Rain” and her Father Eddie Fisher who was a singer and actor. Eddie was most popular in the 1950s, and was in the headlines when he left Debbie for actress Elizabeth Taylor. The couple were the Brad Pitt and Jennifer Aniston of the times…
