Welcome to the Outpost. Today I’m switching to vehicles. The 1984 G.I. Joe Slugger is one cool vehicle. This was used in the cartoon and the comics. The Slugger comes with the driver Thunder. Thunder is one of those characters I don’t remember him having a lot of lines in the cartoon but he was in a lot of them. I don’t really know a ton about him other then he drives this pretty badass vehicle. I did not have one of these as a kid, but this has always been one of my favorite vehicles.…

‘G.I.Joe Tripwire’ Discussion By Mitchell Smith!

June 28, 2020 Serpentorslair Staffaction figures, G.I.Joe, Hasbro, toy collecting0 comment

Welcome to the Outpost. Today I’m getting into another classic 1983 G.I.Joe figure, Tripwire. With a name like Tormod S. Skoog your bound to end up doing something no one else wants to do. Tripwire was the mine detector and his secondary specialty is demolition. Something I’m not sure he was used for in the cartoon. Tripwire is a cool character and he really wasn’t used a ton. I think Tripwire should have been carried over a bit and maybe got an upgrade in the late eighties or nineties. Yes he had a Tiger Force figure…

Hello gang, it’s time for our last pop-expose for the month of June. Star Wars has put out a ton of great vehicles and playsets over the years. I had very few as a kid and still own very few vintage vehicles and play sets. One that I did have as a kid was the Ewok Village. This mold was used later for the Robin Hood Sherwood forest and had some added treetops on it, but as a kid this was an awesome play set. I did not have many Star Wars…

‘G.I.Joe Snow Job’ Discussion By Mitchell Smith!

June 26, 2020June 26, 2020 Serpentorslair Staffaction figures, G.I.Joe, Hasbro, toy collecting0 comment

Today I’m getting into the original G.I.Joe snowtrooper. Snow Job who was born in Rutland, VT not to far from where I grew up from, so I have been in his home town several times. Snow Job was featured many times in the early days as there were several arctic adventures and Snow Job lead the way. He was also a main character in the modern cartoons as well. Snow Job was also featured in many of the comics and has been a staple character for the G.I Joe franchise. The 1983 figure was really cool…
