G.I.Joe ‘Star Brigade Aliens’ Discussion By Mitchell Smith!

April 17, 2020April 17, 2020 Serpentorslair Staffaction figures, G.I.Joe, Hasbro, toy collecting0 comment

1994 Star Brigade Aliens I was a high school senior in 1994 and was not in tune with the G.I.Joe world at the time, Later on as a collector I discovered some great figures. Space Shot, Gears, and Sci-Fi are some of my favorites from this year. There are 3 characters that were very much unlike the rest though, the Aliens. These were somewhat odd I guess in a military based toy, but I thought the first time I saw them that they were pretty cool. Carcass is the first of the trio. He…

‘G.I.Joe Piranha’ Discussion By Mitchell Smith!

April 15, 2020April 15, 2020 Serpentorslair StaffCobra, G.I.Joe, Hasbro, toy collecting0 comment

1990 Cobra Piranha Welcome to the Outpost. In today’s G.I.Joe discussion, I’m taking a look at a small Cobra boat. The Cobra Piranha is a cool little boat that packs a lot of Fire power. This offering has 2 side guns, 2 side missiles, and 2 torpedoes. Some people may not like the color scheme, but I think it is cool and the yellow spoiler and engine thruster make this little boat pop. This is one of those vehicles that I think looks much better in hand as opposed to on paper. It holds…

G.I.Joe ‘Hammerhead’ Reviewed by Mitchell Smith!

1990 Hammerhead Welcome to the Outpost friends. The 1990 G.I.Joe Hammerhead is a large Cobra vehicle which came with the pilot Decimator. This is another vehicle I discovered as a collector. It is a pretty awesome vehicle in my opinion. First off I like Decimator. He looks pretty cool nothing too crazy and I like the color scheme. The underlying yellow seems like it is a wetsuit and the helmet is a little funky, but it is unique, and it is removable so I’ll take it for what it’s worth. The vehicle itself is…

1983 G.I. Joe Base vs 1992 G.I. Joe Base Discussion By Mitchell Smith!

April 13, 2020April 13, 2020 Serpentorslair StaffG.I.Joe, Hasbro, toy collecting, Toy Reviews0 comment

Today I’m taking a look at 2 G.I. Joe bases. I own each of them and they are both very cool. First the 1983 base which was a staple in the original cartoons. This is one of the best large play sets in the G.I. Joe lineup. First you have the signature front with the large gun placed in the middle of the base. This is very iconic and just looks awesome. Various features such as repair and docking bays were designed to hold a Vamp and a Mobat. The center portion is the…
