Paramount+ Unveils Trailer for New Animated Series: “Tales of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles”

Paramount+ has dropped a major announcement, thrilling fans with the official trailer and key art for their all-new original 2D animated series, “Tales of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.” The reveal took place during an engaging session at the inaugural IGN Live event in Los Angeles. Mark your calendars, as all 12 episodes of the premiere season will be available for streaming on Friday, August 9, exclusively on Paramount+ in the U.S. and Canada, followed by releases in the U.K. and Australia on Saturday, August 10. Details for additional international rollouts are expected soon.

In an exciting twist, the series will feature notable guest stars, including Pete Davidson of “Saturday Night Live” fame, who will voice Rod, a wealthy slacker obsessed with becoming a mutant. Joining him is Alanna Ubach, known for her role in “Ted,” portraying Bishop, a brilliant inventor determined to eliminate all mutants, believing them to be humanity’s greatest threat. Fans can anticipate more guest star announcements in the near future.

Produced by Nickelodeon Animation and Point Grey Pictures, the creative forces behind last summer’s blockbuster, “Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem,” the new series promises to deliver the same high-energy adventure and beloved characters. “Tales of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles” dives back into the action-packed world of Leo, Raph, Donnie, and Mikey as they navigate new threats and team up with familiar allies. Set against the vibrant backdrop of New York City, these pizza-loving heroes will once again emerge from the sewers to take on teenage life and the lurking dangers of the Big Apple.

Returning to their iconic roles from “Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem,” the voice cast includes Micah Abbey as Donatello, Shamon Brown Jr. as Michelangelo, Nicolas Cantu as Leonardo, Brady Noon as Raphael, and Ayo Edebiri as April O’Neil. Their performances promise to bring depth and excitement to the beloved characters.

The series boasts an impressive production team with Chris Yost (“The Mandalorian,” “Thor: Ragnarok”) and Alan Wan (“Blue Eye Samurai,” “Rise of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles”) serving as executive producers. Oversight for Nickelodeon is provided by Claudia Spinelli, Senior Vice President of TV Series Animation, and Nikki Price, Director of Development and Executive in Charge of Production.

“Tales of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles” is set to capture the hearts of both new and longtime fans, continuing the legacy of the beloved franchise with fresh stories and dynamic animation. Stay tuned for more updates and get ready to dive into the thrilling adventures of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles this August on Paramount+.
