“Review and Reflection: The Heartfelt Journey of ‘The Peanut Butter Falcon'”

Hello everybody today I’m taking a look at the 2019 film “The Peanut Butter Falcon”. The movie stars Shia LaBeouf, Zack Gottsagen, and Dakota Johnson. with appearances from Jake “The Snake” Roberts and Mick Folly. This is a fun little movie I found on Netflix. The story follows Zak (Zack Gottsagen), a young man with Down syndrome, who dreams of becoming a professional wrestler. Gottsagen has Downs in real life and became the first person with Downs to present an Oscar.

I worked in group homes for five years and still do a summer camp working with mentally challenged people. Many of them have Down syndrome and it is really rewarding when you can make a person feel included. The movie captures that magic in a wild adventure through the Outer Banks and into Florida. The movie has an eighties feel to it and if you have not watched this movie it’s worth checking out its heart felt with some hilarious parts. Have a great week everybody.
