This replica was created from an extensive 3D scan of the original prop puppet used in the film. The Rancor, which is cast in resin, will stand 21″ Inches tall, and will include a hand numbered plaque that will be hand signed by legendary visual effects artist Phil Tippett. The classic, behind-the-scenes documentaries showcasing the work of Phil Tippett’s creature shop during the production of that 1983 film were a big part of what led me to a life in the world of FX and movie monsters.
I’m so excited to have Phil as a part of this run and signing plaques for the collectors bringing this unique replica home.
