Step in Time for 100 Years of Dick Van Dyke

Hello everybody. Today I’m taking a look at 100 years with Dick Van Dyke. He was born Dec 13th 1925 which happened to fall on a Sunday. Van Dyke who was born in Missouri grew up in Danville, Illinois. He attended school there where he was active in the choir and the drama club. Van Dyke dropped out of high school to enlist in the military during WWII. He later went back to complete his schooling in 2004. Van Dyke started out as a radio host in the 40’s and evolved into a remarkable career over the next several decades. Van Dukes first big break came in the classic 1963 musical “Bye Bye Birdie”.

After this Van Dyke would land rolls in “Mary Poppins”, “Chitty Chitty Bang Bang”, and the “Night at The museum” franchise. Van Dyke was a huge TV as well including “the Dick Van Dyke Show”, “The Carol Burnett Show”, and “ The Masked Singer”. Van Dyke also appeared in shows like “Matlock, Airwolf, The Golden Girls, Coach, Sabrina The Teenage Witch, Scrubs, Days of Our Lives, and The Simpsons”, to name a few. He is such a gentleman and always a pleasure to listen to. Happy 100 years Mr Dick Van Dyke, you have kept us in stitches for so many years.
