G.I. JOE UNDERAPPRECIATED FEATURING THE “RAIDER”!

Serpentorslair Staff, , 0 comment

Welcome to the Outpost. Today I’m taking a look at a 1989 G.I. JOE vehicle that I feel is under appreciated the Raider. The Raider with Hot Seat is a really cool vehicle that I never hear anything about. Looking over the years a lot of the vehicles did not get a modern version. Maybe the originals are solid enough Hasbro felt they didn’t need to update them as many of the modern figures did fit the original vehicles. The Raider is featured in the opening credits of the miniseries…

G.I. JOE UNDERAPPRECIATED FEATURING “Fast-Draw”!

Serpentorslair Staff, , 0 comment

Story by Mitchell Smith Welcome to the Outpost. Today I’m taking a look at a G.I. Joe figure from 1987, Fast Draw. In my opinion this is an under appreciated figure. I had Fast Draw as a kid and this was a cool unique figure back in the day. He has 2 missiles ready to fire at his target. Maybe not the most realistic military concept, but I love the futuristic concept figures. This color scheme is unique and I could have seen him sliding into the Slaughters Marauders lineup…

G.I. JOE INSIDE THE FILE CARDS FEATURING “Rock-n-Roll”!

Serpentorslair Staff, , 0 comment

Today’s focus is the G.I. Joe character Rock-n-Roll. He is possibly the simplest of all the OG13 to figure out as he only has “Infantry” listed as his PMS and “PT Instructor” as his SMS. So going with that he is an 11B Infantryman who may have attained a Special Qualifications Identifier (SQI) H of Instructor. It is very possible he went to classes for it and attained this SQI and briefly was an instructor. Years ago the US Army had a program where those who couldn’t meet the minimum…

G.I. JOE UNDERAPPRECIATED FEATURING “1987 Gung-Ho”!

Serpentorslair Staff, , 0 comment

Story by Mitchell Smith Welcome to the Outpost. Today I’m taking a look at a 1987 G.I. Joe figure that I feel is under appreciated. I love Gung-Ho in dress blues and had this figure as a kid. For me I would love to see a modern version and a Classified version of Gung-Ho. It goes further for me, I thought it would have been cool to see other characters in dress uniforms. Duke, Roadblock, and Ace are just a few characters that would have looked cool in dress uniform.…
