G.I. JOE UNDERAPPRECIATED FEATURING ‘SKY CREEPER’!

Serpentorslair Staff, , , 0 comment

Story By Mitchell Smith Welcome to the Outpost. Today I’m checking out 1991 G.I. Joe Sky Creeper the Cobra Air Recon Leader. This is one I did not know about until I got into collecting in the mid 2000s. Funny enough I always thought this was a trooper and just recently realized he is an individual which really made me take a step back and look at this guy and say now that’s a horse of a different color. I wouldn’t say I didn’t like this guy but seeing he…

G.I. Joe Vehicle Drivers Not Coming To The Classified Line?

Serpentorslair Staff, , , 0 comment

Story By Mitchell Smith Welcome to the Outpost. Today I’m discussing G.I. Joe figures that may never get a 6 inch G.I. Joe Classified figure. Not a specific one, but drivers and pilots may get the stiff arm for the most part. I realize they did a HISS Tank, but it was expensive and probably a lot of people passed on pre ordering this one. Copperhead is the First driver released at retail but with no vehicle. If you look back at the size of the vehicles GI Joe has…

G.I. JOE UNDERAPPRECIATED FEATURING ‘GOLOBULUS’!

Serpentorslair Staff, , 0 comment

Story by Mitchell Smith Welcome to the Outpost. Today I’m checking out the 1987 G.I. Joe figure Golobulus. He is a member of Cobra-La, an ancient and powerful civilization that exists beneath the Himalayas. Golobulus is the leader of Cobra-La and an under appreciated character. Golobulus first appeared in the 1987 animated film, “Gi Joe: The Movie“, and one I thought was an interesting new character back in the day. I know there are many who did not like the path Gi Joe was taking but I loved the Cobra-La.…

G.I. JOE UNDERAPPRECIATED FEATURING 1989 ‘DEEP SIX’!

Serpentorslair Staff, , 0 comment

Welcome to the Outpost. Today I’m checking out the 1989 G.I. Joe v2 Deep Six. The original Deep Six was very unique and I thought had a unique play value and came with an awesome vehicle. The 1989 version was unique and my first Deep Six. One thing I love about this classic deep sea diver is it can be a great army builder. They look very uniform with the helmets on but unique with them off. There is a very cool looking pack with air tank and extra gear…

G.I. JOE UNDERAPPRECIATED FEATURING THE COBRA BUZZ BOAR!

Serpentorslair Staff, , , 0 comment

Story by Mitchell Smith Welcome to the Outpost. Today I’m checking out the 1987 G.I. Joe Cobra Buzz Boar. Although this one may seem very unconventional and non military this was a fun Cobra Vehicle that I got for Christmas that year. It had a unique look and for a small vehicle this had a lot of play value. The shear thought of this massive saw coming to chew you up just made a lot of fun for my Joes trying to out run it. I’m sure someone bit the…
