JOHN MADDEN John Madden was born April 10th 1936 in Minnesota and moved to Daly City, CA when he was young. He played football at Oregon before transferring to San Mateo Cal Poly-SLO and was drafted to the NFL in 1958. John was a standout in high school, and won all conference honors at offensive tackle at Cal Poly as well as playing catcher for their baseball team.
