Snake Eyes: G.I.Joe Origins Discussion by Mitchell Smith!

Welcome to the Outpost. I haven’t looked to much into the new G.I.Joe Snake Eyes movie till recently. I was trying to not get too worked up waiting for a new release date. I caught a trailer the other day so I decided to take a look at some of the cast. A couple actors stood right out to me and I started to get excited about them and the upcoming movie. Peter Mensah is the first one I noticed. He has played parts in movies such as 300, Hidalgo, and Avatar.…

NOW YOU KNOW WITH YORKTOWNJOE – ‘ Wild Bill Theory’!

Wild Bill was a fun loving cowboy helicopter pilot in the Sunbow 80’s G.I. Joe cartoon, and he was a bit more serious in the Marvel ARAH comic book. He rescued the Joe’s on a number of occasions, and perhaps is more crucial to the story-lines than one would expect. We know Snake-Eyes, Storm Shadow, Stalker and Wade Collins had a tight knit community forged in their days as the L.R.R.P. recon patrol in Southeast Asia. But what of Huey crew that played an important role in the story not…

NOW YOU KNOW WITH YORKTOWNJOE – G.I.JOE MARVEL ISSUE #66 REVIEWED!

Background Issue 65 was an interesting space shuttle mission story. But in the end, we had Scarlett, Snake-Eyes, and the Blind Master working undercover as part of a circus act. They are working on a rescue plan to bring back Stalker, Snow-Job and Quick-Kick who were taken prisoner back in Issue 61. Feel free to check out the review of Issue 65 in case you missed it. (You can catch up on other “Now You Know With YorktownJoe” reviews there as well!) The cover of this issue shows a scene of the 3 captured…

Snake Eyes: G.I. Joe Origins – Official Movie Logo Released!

We have some exciting news to report today as Paramount Pictures has released the official G.I.Joe Snake Eyes movie logo. The interesting part of the logo is that it says ‘G.I.Joe Origins‘, which I would take to mean that there are more origin stories on tap in the future if this movie is a success. What do you think of the logo? Let us know AFTER THE JUMP. Snake Eyes: G.I.Joe Origins hits theaters later this year. Watch the #SnakeEyes cast and crew at the start of production in Japan. NOW YOU KNOW WITH YORKTOWNJOE – G.I.JOE MARVEL ISSUE #64 REVIEWED!

Background Issue 63 continues the story arc of the ill-fated mission in Borovia. Billy is reunited with Storm Shadow who is unmasked and wearing a suit. Cobra seems to be onto Joe operations in Utah and the Presidio. And we are briefly mourning the loss of Scarlett and Snake-Eyes. But that seems to be a trick of some sort that might get sorted out in the future issues. Feel free to check out the review of Issue 63 in case you missed it. (You can catch up on other “Now You Know With…

THE POP EXPOSE ‘G.I.Joe Vintage or Modern’ By Mitchell Smith!

Do you like 25th style G.I. Joe’s better than the O-ring style? In 2007 G.I. Joe replaced the classic O-ring style Joe with a modern 25th Anniversary Style Joe. Although I love many of the updates such as the awesome articulation and attention to detail, I will always be a fan of my first love, the O-ring style Joes. I received my first G.I. Joes when I was 7 years old. It was a magical Christmas one that highlights many of the other Christmases I have enjoyed over the years. The Original Straight Arm…

NOW YOU KNOW WITH YORKTOWNJOE – G.I.JOE MARVEL ISSUE #62 REVIEWED!

Background The previous issue began a story arc in the dreadful country of Borovia. Cobra has issues of their own, with the avian attired accountant Raptor and the greedy Fred VII shooting Cobra Commander in the back. It is troubling that the Joes are ordered not to undergo a dark op to rescue their own. This storyline crosses over with Special Missions Issue 6. Feel free to check out the review of Issue 61 in case you missed it. (You can catch up on other “Now You Know With YorktownJoe” reviews there as well!)…

THE POP EXPOSE ‘Will G.I.Joe Return to Retail?’ By Mitchell Smith!

Can G.I. Joe ever bounce back into retail? The past few years Hasbro moved G.I. Joe to an online collectors market and officially pulled the plug on producing any further action figures. I think someone upstairs realized they had raped their most loyal fans on top of NOT bringing in any new fans to the brand basically killing the future of the franchise with greed and selfishness. Maybe someone realized they needed to cut it off now and regroup to hold any fans that might be forgiving. Maybe I’m just…

First Behind-The Scenes Footage From G.I. Joe: Snake Eyes!

From an office in Vancouver, Frederick Vinas @Frederick_Vinas on Twitter, was informed that Snake Eyes was shooting a scene right outside his office window. He grabbed his camera and shot a few quick seconds of a take. So it looks like they’re filming a yakuza scene from the upcoming G.I. Joe spinoff movie: “Snake Eyes” in front of my office. 😮#GIJoe #snakeeyes @yvrshoots @WhatsFilming pic.twitter.com/sp8gCO393y — Frederick Vinas (@Frederick_Vinas) October 17, 2019 The scene is a quick one. G.I.Joe: Snake Eyes Casts Actress Haruka Abe in Unknown Role!

Paramount Pictures ‘G.I.Joe: Snake Eyes‘ has cast actress Haruka Abe, in a yet to be announced role. Our best guess is that she will be the love interest in the reported love triangle with Snake Eyes and Storm Shadow which leads to their becoming enemies in this films continuity. Check out more on this below and share your thoughts AFTER THE JUMP. G.I.Joe: Snake Eyes is currently scheduled to hit theaters on October 16, 2020 The Wrap is reporting that Girl/Haji star Haruka Abe has joined the cast of the…
