Story by Staff Writer Shaft As a continuation of the arctic branch of the G.I. Joe Cobra Eels, the Snow Serpents, I want to take a look at the entire Eel organization as a whole. So basically Eels are elite frogmen of Cobra Command so a person would assume one would not start their career in Cobra as an Eel (much like a US Navy SEAL). Story by Staff Writer Shaft Cobra Polar Assault specialists, the Snow-Serpents, are listed as “Arctic Operations” as their PMS and “Infantry” as their SMS. Their filecard indicates they are Cobra Eels but with additional training that include cold weather training, use of snow shoes, skis and kayaks and airborne training. If Cobra Eels are the equivalent of US Navy SEALS then I would liken Snow Serpents to SEAL Team 2, which its members are more focused on cold weather training.
