G.I.Joe ‘Mauler’ Discussion by Mitchell Smith!

Serpentorslair Staff, , , 0 comment

Welcome to the Outpost. Today I’m talking about a 1985 G.I.Joe vehicle that I did not have as a kid but I really wanted one. Years later I found one almost complete without the box and I was overjoyed that day. The G.I.Joe Mauler is an awesome tank. The Mobat was awesome and used a lot in the animated series as well as the comics so the Mauler had a tall order to fill and it came through with flying colors. This is such a great piece and it too…

New G.I.Joe Construction Sets – Discussion by Mitchell Smith!

Serpentorslair Staff, , , 0 comment

Welcome to the Outpost. Today I’m talking about new G.I.Joe construction ‘Lego style’ sets, which are not truly Legos but it sounds better than calling them ‘building blocks’. I found these at Ollie’s and they were very inexpensive. I’m not a big Lego guy but my son has been hitting me up for Star Wars Legos lately and honestly they are really expensive, so when I found these a light bulb went off and this was my chance to draw him into G.I.Joe. I have tried over the years and…

Transformers Collecting – Story by Mitchell Smith!

Serpentorslair Staff, , , , 0 comment

Hello everyone, today I’m taking a look at the Transformers franchise. Back in the day Transformers came in and gave a whole different dynamic to toys. A car, animal, or object that could transform into a robot. I loved the animated series as a kid. “Autobots roll out” is still one of my favorite lines. As a kid I did not have any Transformers. Money was always tight and I wanted G.I.Joe more then Transformers. So flash forward a few years or decades maybe lol, and in an attempt to…

Jurassic Park 6″ ‘John Hammond’ Figure – Discussion by Mitchell Smith!

Serpentorslair Staff, , , 0 comment

Hello everyone. I’m Train and today I’m taking a look at the 6 inch Jurassic Park John Hammond figure. I saw this one in the store and did not hesitate to pick him up. Jurassic Park hit the big screen in 1993 and it was an instant hit. The idea of bringing back dinosaurs alone was mind blowing. In the movie John Hammond was the mastermind behind creating a park with real live dinosaurs. It was a brilliant movie and it still holds up to today’s cgi. It was no…
