G.I.Joe ‘Cobra La’ Discussion by Mitchell Smith!

Serpentorslair Staff, , , , , , 0 comment

Welcome to the Outpost. Today I’m taking a look at Cobra La. Back when G.I.Joe: The Movie came out I was well embedded into the GI Joe world. I had 12 inch figures, I had 1982 figures, and I had 1985 figures. A lot of people feel 1985 was the hey day but I loved everything up to 85 and I loved the expansion and continuous creativity of years after that. The Cobra La mainly, Golobulus, Nemesis Enforcer, Pythona, and the Royal Guards were an instant hit for me. The…

G.I.JOE ‘Firebat’ Discussion By Mitchell Smith!

Serpentorslair Staff, , , 0 comment

Welcome to the Outpost. Today I’m taking a look at the 2008 G.I.Joe 25th Anniversary Firebat. The original was released in 1986 with the Terrordrome, something I long for, but I have never had. I was happy when they released the Firebat in 2008 as this was a vehicle Cobra used in the cartoon and I just loved the design. So there was no hesitation to pick this one up when I saw it in stores. It just has a sleek look. The Rattler and Skystriker are awesome vehicles but…

G.I.JOE ‘B.A.T.’ DISCUSSION BY MITCHELL SMITH!

Serpentorslair Staff, , , , , 0 comment

Welcome to the Outpost. Today I’m taking a look at one of the great G.I.Joe 1986 figures that I had, and we ended up with many versions that were pretty awesome, the original Cobra B.A.T. B.A.T. was pretty awesome when it was first released. The really cool thing was there were interchangeable hands and over the years each version has different hands and weapons that attach. The original is awesome and the modern version of the original was a grand slam. The Nineties versions were really cool and I love…

G.I.JOE ‘BAZOOKA’ DISCUSSION BY MITCHELL SMITH!

Serpentorslair Staff, , , , 0 comment

Welcome to the Outpost. Today I’m taking a look at one of the great 1985 G.I.Joe’s, Bazooka. In the animated series Bazooka was a solid character with a unique look. Bazooka’s secondary specialist is a tank driver where he started out and decided he didn’t want to be the sitting duck he wanted to shoot at the duck. Bazooka had a few upgrades including Tiger Force and a few modern style. I love the classic look and I also have a 12 inch Bazooka that looks pretty damn good in…

G.I.Joe ‘FLAK Cannon’ Discussion By Mitchell Smith!

Serpentorslair Staff, , , 0 comment

Welcome to the Outpost, today I’m taking a look at a a cool original G.I.Joe vehicle. The 1982 Flak Cannon. This is a cool vehicle and even though it is a stationary vehicle this is one that packs a big punch. I did have one of these as a kid and I loved it back then as much as I do now. Simple but effective this is one to have to defend the Joe base or ground vehicles. Strangely enough this is one Cobra used in the first season of…
