THE POP EXPOSE ‘Collecting Star Wars’ by Mitchell Smith!

With Star Wars so much to talk about right now. Star Wars as everyone knows is coming into the 9th movie. There is much anticipation, but there is a ton of Star Wars stuff to talk about outside of the movie. Disney + started last week and I’m sure many of us already have signed up or tried the free week trial. Which this is well worth signing up for especially if you’re a Star Wars fan. I watched the first episode of The Mandalorian.

I thought it was a very interesting start to a new series. They packed a lot into a 40 minute spot. It was a quick development to some new characters with a lot of what Star Wars was built on especially a Return of the Jedi feel to a lot of the props and characters. I enjoyed it so much that I watched Return of the Jedi after. Its been a long time since I watched this movie. Watching it on my high definition 50 inch TV was actually like watching it for the first time all over again. I never was able to see the originals on the big screen. So I really was able to get the full affect of the special effects and really get a clear shot at a lot of the background characters that were hard to see on the old tube TVs. I’m looking forward to watching all of the other movies as well.

On a different note, who the heck designed the Walmart Star Wars figure display. No pegs, just figures shoved into a cardboard display all jammed together with packaging getting twisted and torn. Sad to see how some person at the top wants to sell figures for $13.00 a pop and have them in such poor condition, not to mention the distribution of 10 of the same figure nobody wants with 1 figure mixed in that is impossible to find. I know people just like to order on line these days and not have to get off their lazy butt to go to the store, but I still enjoy going to the store and finding a nice treasure. Oh well that’s my rant on that situation, but all in all I feel pretty happy about the Star Wars explosion right now. I can’t wait to see the vintage figures come out, fingers crossed they don’t cancel this wave, and I cant wait to see the bitter sweet ending to the movie that almost didn’t make it to the box office. I hope everyone gets to take full advantage of all there is out there Star Wars right now.
