THE POP EXPOSE ‘My Favorite Kryptonian’ By Mitchell Smith!

My favorite Kryptonian

Superman was born April 18, 1938 when writer Jerry Siegel and artist Joe Shuster created the Man of Steel as he appeared in the first issue of Action Comics. Over the next several decades Superman became a staple in American culture. Spawning several comics, radio/TV shows, and movies along with costumes, action figures, and countless collectable memorabilia. Me growing up in the Eighties I am partial to Christopher Reeve and his role in the Superman trilogy from that era. Reeves along with Gene Hackman and Margot Kidder brought the story to the big screen along with many other stars including Jon Cryer and Richard Pryor, the helped put out 4 movies and that series will always be one of my all time Superman favorites.

Out of the many other Superman works, Smallville was the only show I got into. This had a great cast and even brought the Duke boys back together. The show was great in my opinion and I thought it made a pretty good run with 10 seasons. They kept the show pretty interesting as it followed Clark in his teen years. Over the years Superman has stayed strong and the story has remained one of the best stories of all time. Although he has taken a bit of a back seat in recent DC films, I’m sure we have not seen the last of the great Superman.
