THE POP EXPOSE ‘Remembering Jerry Stiller’ By Mitchell Smith!

Jerry Stiller passed away from natural causes at the age of 92. Jerry was born in Brooklyn, NY in 1927. After his return home from WWII he attended and graduated from Syracuse University with a diploma in Speech and Drama. Stiller was married to Anne Meara for over 60 years up to when she passed away in 2015. The 2 had a show back in the 60s and 70s together and Jerry played many rolls over the years both on TV and in the movies. He was a huge part of Seinfeld playing Frank Costanza and a huge part of The King of Queens playing Arthur Spooner.
The couple had 2 kids together Amy and Ben. Ben has had a great career on the big screen and included his father Jerry in his movie Zoolander. Jerry had a long career and came on strong in the 90’s. I can’t picture anyone else playing Frank Costanza. He was a staple in the show and brought so many laughs. One of Frank’s best episodes was Season 9 Episode 3 “Serenity Now.” Likewise on Arthur Spooner where Stiller felt this is when he finally broke into the actor he wanted to be, I cannot picture anyone else playing Arthur.
Kevin James went after Stiller to play the part and it was an absolute success. Stiller brought the character alive and created countless moments of laughter over 195 episodes. Jerry Stiller is one of the greatest comedians of our time. He will be missed but he will be back in the arms of his true love Anne. He has brought joy and laughter to us for so many years and his legacy will live on for many years to come. Rest in peace. Are you a fan of Jerry Stiller’s work? Let us know AFTER THE JUMP!
