THE POP EXPOSE ‘Sharon Tate’ By Mitchell Smith!
Today I am going to revisit the tragic story of Sharon Tate. Recently I was watching the Pilot episode and various episodes after of The Beverly Hillbillies. This was a show I grew up watching as a kid and I had never seen any of the early episodes. What a great series this is, but that is a story for another day. I googled the cast to see who was still alive and I noticed one character that was born in 1943 and died in 1969. I wasn’t sure what had caused an early death and I googled Sharon Tate only to discover that she was murdered by the Manson family. I knew about Charles Manson but I never really read into any details of people he had murdered or what he was about. Sharon Tate was a beautiful young actress and model.
I started watching clips of her parts in Shows like The Beverly Hillbillies and Mr Ed. She also had a decent career on the big screen. I watched a couple interviews and I know I fell instantly in love with her. She was so sweet and innocent. There are a few documentaries on her life and murder, and here we are 51 years later and I was heartbroken for Tate. She was near giving birth to her first child and she was ready to start a family. The story was so sad, yet captivating. To me it was as if the murders had just taken place.
I couldn’t help but think what would her life have come to if she had not faced the brutal murder. It is a heartbreaking story and I think worth checking out her work and the stories of her tragic end. Tate had a short life but she left a strong impression on the world and I’m happy I stumbled upon this story. I plan to watch some of her movies in the coming weeks. So long overdue, but I hope Tate has rested in peace especially now that the ring leader Manson is now himself dead. I hope she was able to kick his ass to hell when he tried to enter the pearly gates. Are you a fan of Sharon Tate? Let us know AFTER THE JUMP!
