THE POP EXPOSE – SPACEHOG!

Story by Mitchell Smith
Hello everyone, today I’m taking a look at one of my favorite nineties bands that got overshadowed by some of the greats like Pearl Jam, Smashing Pumpkins, and Nirvana, and that is Spacehog. Spacehog formed in 1994 in New York City. The band consisted of Royston Langdon, Antony Langdon, Jonny Cragg, and Richard Steel. Their first album Resident Alien is one of my favorite albums. Most people know their hit song In The Meantime, but this disc is full of great songs from top to bottom.
I think the kids loose out a lot today by just downloading the hit songs and never getting to hear the rest of the songs from the band that don’t get air time, also they miss those mysterious hidden tracks from the nineties. Any hoot, this first album is full of great songs like Starside, Space is the Place, and Zeroes. These are just a few great songs on this album. They only released 4 albums total but Spacehog is one of those bands I’m hoping will get back together. I would love to go see them in concert. Are you a fan of Spacehog? Do you still enjoy their music? Share your opinions with us in the comments. Have a great week everybody.
