The POP-EXPOSE

THE POP EXPOSE ‘The Rise of Skywalker’ By Mitchell Smith!

Star Wars The Rise of Skywalker

The final trailer for Star Wars is out and we are getting close to a much anticipated ending to a Story that started over 40 years ago. I have always loved the original trilogy and was not the bit critical about the second trilogy. I took every second for what it was worth and just embraced the story and the creativity that was put into the back story of many of the main characters we grew up loving. I used to feel the first 2 movies of this 3rd trilogy have had kind of an upgrade feeling to them. Then I kind of got the feeling maybe that was intended.

Lucas had such a vision in his original movies about the circle of life, the passing of the guard, and the grand openness and sometimes emptiness of life and space. He trusted his vision so much that he knew that when Disney took over they would create his vision in the manor he intended all along. As a kid there was always the buzz of 9 movies being made, but I think Lucas stated somewhere along the way that he had no intentions of making nine movies. Maybe this was his plan all along to turn it over to someone else to finish the movies to show the change and renewal of everything in life. The new trilogy did have some new characters, new adventures, but it also had some old characters who were still part of the game and a part of life and important to the circle of life and the circle of the movies. I think each generation goes through similar situations and the next generation may have more technology, or most sophisticated things, But in the end life is very simple and everything has a beginning, a middle , and an ending whether it be training to be a Jedi and passing the torch to a padawan, or it be the formation of a star and the star burning out, the middle is the important part.

I’m looking for this final chapter of this modern Star Wars trilogy to have a little Return of the Jedi feel, but also to close out 3 chapters in this story. Me personally I love the Star Wars franchise. I love all its parts from A New Hope, to Clone Wars, Rebels, I liked Solo, and thought that would be a trilogy. I take each part as a piece to understanding a much larger world. Luke has always been one of my favorite characters. I look forward to seeing Lando, Leia, and some force ghost Luke in this film. I think this being the movie to wrap up the trilogy of trilogies, especially for those who have grown up loving Star Wars, this will be a movie of highs and lows. There may be some grown men crying like babies me included. I will always love the original trilogy the best but I can’t wait for this 9th and final episode it will be a bitter sweet movie but I’m guessing this one will not disappoint.
